Purchase e a 29RL new. Year one Problems with jacks, propane tanks, vent caps, fan covers.

Year two, trim separated, interior wood trim coming loose, DVD player not working, slide out frame floor coming apart . Highland Ridge customer service is worthless.

Other owners I have spoken with have similar experiences. Do not buy Highland Ridge Ultralight!

Big slide in living room

The second time the gearbox on the living room slide quit working. On a 279 RLS lite , first time was two weeks after I had purchased. I have owned it for four years now and the slide is the only thing that we have trouble with on the living room slide all other are working fine. We love the camper and we dont like the break downs when we are camping.

Junk and will not fux

Welds broke loose in my slide and could not get it in. Took them 30 days to finally fix it. After one use slide still won't go back in. Now welds are breaking in my floors and it's starting to say. Highland Ridge told me there nothing they can do. Looking for an attorney. Stay away from Highland Ridge, Open Range

User's recommendation: Don't purchase Highland Ridge, Open Range.

Refused to cover manufacturing defect discovered 13 months after purchase

Highland Ridge RV - Refused to cover manufacturing defect discovered 13 months after purchase
Highland Ridge neglected to cap off a water line running from the fresh water tank. The first time I used the fresh water tank was at 13 months after the purchase (warranty over). Because if the defect, water leaked to the extent that the entire underbelly cover is warped and rippled such that the trailer would not be able to be re-sold. When \contacting the manufacturer, they refused to cover the damage.

User's recommendation: Check out the negative reviews! I wish I had. Don't buy from this manufacturer.

Poor workmanship and even worse customer service!

Highland Ridge RV - Poor workmanship and even worse customer service!
Highland Ridge RV - Poor workmanship and even worse customer service!
purchased a 2019 Mesa Ridge 374 BHS end of November 2018. Work has me traveling the country, so I live in it. Not my first camper, just my first new one and first Mesa Ridge. From the beginning the refrigerator was not staying cold. Three months into it the main AC unit went out. Dealer says bring it back we'll work it into the schedule. I'm in Pecos, TX. Dealers in Cleveland, TX. 12 hrs away. They estimate 4 or 5 weeks to repair. i cant take time off work to deliver it and no place to stay for that long if I could. I had to find an RV service that came to me and replaced the AC unit through Dometics warranty. they also tweeked the fridge so it would stay cold. Moved it to Carlsbad that fall. The furnace wouldn't run. Same runaround with the dealer. Local dealer couldn't get the part. meantime the water lines froze. gotta have a running furnace to heat them. found a local with tin snips and a grinder. been working since. flooring in the kitchen has been spongie in spots for the last year. now the floor in the big slide is delaminating due to shoddie work sealing it at the factory. Cant even get the slide to come in now. of course nobody from the dealer or the factory want to even discuss it. The trim pieces they put on the slide flooring is junk. came apart the first week. Heating element in the dryer has gone out twice, Grey water valve is stuck open. Its junk they charged $75,000 for. NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE THEIR PRODUCTS!!! Im going back to Double Tree.

User's recommendation: Run away from these campers as fast and far as you can.

Want to know how to vent my dryer in my 2019 model 3x387 rbs 5th wheel

My dryer mounts in the closet and there was a sticker on the back wall ,and it said (vent here with an x ) I cut *** in the wall and hooked up the dryer to the hole but the hot air isn't coming out any place , supposed to come out on the roof as far as I know, the washer and dryer is in the middle of the Rv , so I can't go through an outside wall.

Cheaply made

We were going through the process of purchasing a 2021 Highland Ridge Mesa Limited. Requested a final walk through and found that they had to replace a motor in a slide out (drilled *** in the bedroom with a wire coming out), the bathroom wall where the door latches was flimsy, cheaply made. The dealer had moved the RV maybe 100 for us to see it and the bedroom drawers were all open (doesn't hold the latch), electric outlets were barely attached. You could feel the cheapness in everything. MDoyouhhhohomeworkbeforyybuy

User's recommendation: Do your homework, look at other brands to compare the difference.

Manufacturing defect of floor

I brought a brand new 2014 open range light and used it about 6 times. Every time we used it we had to repair something. The last time we used it the living room slide out floor delaminated preventing slide to close. I contact jayco and spoke to customer service rep Emily. I told yes its manufacturing defect but there nothing we can do for you. I will never buy another Jayco product in my life and I tell anybody who will listen to me run away from jayco products.

User's recommendation: Don’t buy jayco product because they don’t stand by their product!

Floor

The worst flooring I have ever had in an RV. Have owned my 3x388rks for 4 years.Had to redo the bathroom floor the first year. They put a seam in the middle with no support and to make it worse cut for a floor vent. The 3rd year notice the flooring in the living area has a spongy spot about 2feet by 8foot can see it move underneath .this year one of the slides got a leak at the floor, teck said water was wicking up. This is just a few of the problems we have had. Would not recommend this brand to anyone.

Poor Craftsmanship causing the need to replace the floor

Our 2017 Highland Ridge Open Range 5th wheel's floor became spongy. Suspecting a water leak, we pulled up the flooring and found that the culprit was NOT a leak or rot, but that the 1/4" plywood did not reach from beam to beam leaving the entire width unsupported except for the foam insulation, which within 3 years gave way in the high traffic areas. In addition to the flooring issues, the gearbox for the 2 opposing slides stripped out within 3 years with very little use. After researching these 2 issues, it appears that these are common problems with Highland Ridge.

User's recommendation: Make sure that your warranty covers manufacturer defects in the FLOOR in addition to the other provisions.

No problems as of yet

I bought my Open Range 2 years ago, it is a 2410RL. I have not had any problems with my RV, I have been happy with it. I do live in it full time for the first time in my life. I am 62 and retired and love the RV life.

Poor quality

Highland Ridge RV - Poor quality
This is what I am dealing with. Like you read in a lot of other reviews the floor is unusable. This unit was less then 3 years old when it started. The unit was in storage I pulled it out and the seal for slide out wall and floor had leaked and allowed water to ruin the slide out floor to where it needs to be fully replaced. I contact Highlands customer service and they told me it was not covered by the warranty that I had for three years. I followed every direction they stated in the book for storing and cleaning. And now because I cannot come up with $4000 to $6000 I now have a 15-year loan on a paperweight. I have done a lot of research on this problem and if you look through all the reviews and everything this is a major issue with this brand and with jayco who is the owner of it. The the seals that use are not holding up. They are not taking responsibility for their workmanship and now an investment that I made for many years is now ruined. I'm being told that none of this is covered under warranty too because of water damage the water damage happened because their seal broke. This unit is only 3 years old you should not have these problems out of a $30,000 brand new rv. I bought every warranty you could with this cuz I wanted to keep it in best condition I could I planned on keeping this for many years to have fun. But now all I can do is sit let get worse until somehow I can come up with money. This is also the 4th unit that has come out of my dealership with the same exact seal issues that ruin floors. If you have had similar problems with this unit please get in contact with me at this email. williamwsc22@***.com. thank you and have a good day.

User's recommendation: Stay away.

I have almost the exact same issue with my 2021 Mesa Ridge 427BHS. Fighting with dealership who claims the floor is not covered under the 3 year structure warranty. Owner's manual clearly states that it is covered.

@PissedConsumer2060409

We have a 2020 Mesa Ridge hat has the same problem. I found it the second season of camping.

Dealer told me flooring is covered. Warranty states that it is. Dealer finally "fixed it".

It's just as bad now as it was before. Not the floor in the bedroom is rotted also from a water leak.

Pay attention to details before signing anything

I'm very upset that i have to have 2 doors replaced , they are both bent or warped and do not stay shut. Bad thing is that I have to make my first payment and cant go anywhere. Doors open on their own. Hate to travel and have them flapping in the wind.
